How to control the misleading of Young Generation on
Crimes?

In
the past four months we have witnessed nothing less than six fatal shootings in
various parts of the country. The targets have included teachers, businessmen,
an anti-crime watchdog advocate and even a corporate personality.
Why
are mafia-styled executions so rampant lately? Are guns that easily available
in Malaysia so much so they are being used as primary weapons in almost all
serious crimes, including robberies and thefts?
There
is a compounding fear that illegal arms are making their way into this country
via the borders in the northern region.
Over
the years there have been grave concerns that our borders are not well guarded
and there seem to be many illegal entry points which further facilitates the
entry and exit of firearms and other contraband.
A
deliberate lack of vigilance and surveillance may have led to the ease of how
guns are moved around the region before and after a crime is carried out, thus
the difficulty by the police in tracing and investigating cases.
As
the minister of the home affair I have few suggestions that has to be applied
to decrease the amount of crimes involved by the youngsters nowadays at Malaysia.
First
of all, police (PDRM) should tighten their security on the borders in the
northern region. This is because to decrease the amount of illegal arms that is
making their way from the northern borders, which are used to make crimes.
Besides
that, police should form a special team to treat on these kind of crimes. For
example, recently police have formed a new team called " ’Ops Cantas Khas’ following a
spate of shootings in the country, believed to be related to turf war among
gangs linked to illegal activities such as drug trafficking and extortion”. After
forming this team the amount of crimes has been decreased.
“
According to Bukit Aman’s principal assistant director of the Secret Societies,
Vice and Gambling Division (D7) Senior Asst Comm Datuk Abdul Jalil Hassan,
there has been a decrease in crime across the board since the launch of the
operations on Aug 17 “
“In
the last 36 days (from Aug 17 to Sept 22), serious crime has gone down by
12.48% with murder cases lowered by 33.78%, gang robbery decreased by 23.58%
and robbery dipped by 26% compared to the similar number of days between July
12 and Aug 16 “
Last
but not the least, police also should jail anyone who does crime. This will scare the others form doing crime too, I’m highlighting this because, police
sometimes show mercy to the criminals which will end up with more crimes rate.
Police should arrest the criminals imediatelly without showing any mercy towards them.
Immediate jail to whoever does crimes without any mercy, but before jailing them police should investigate more detail about the crime they did.
More guns use by the police the lesser the crime rate, because the criminals will be scared to the action taken by the police

I AGREE.POLICE SHOULD TIGHTEN THEIR SECURITY ON THE BORDERS IN THE NORTHERN REGION.THE NUMBER OF CRIMES IS INCREASING IS DUE TO THE ILLEGAL ENTRIES.BUT IN MY OPINION POLICE ALSO SHOULD JAIL ANYONE WHO DOES CRIME IS NOT REALLY EFFECTIVE.
ReplyDeleteThank You.And why did you said jailing the people who does crime is not really effective? So do you want PDRM to simply let go them although they did something wrong?

ReplyDeleteCrime happens everywhere but high crime rates only happens in countries with corruption, ineffective governance and poor police control. the only way to solve a problem is to recognize and admit there's a problem, not by denying it. The police as well as the ministry should make an effort to overcome the crimes, hence i agree with your suggestions to reduce the crime rates in malaysia except to use more guns because the usage of guns will not necessarily lessen the crime but, in very rare instances, an officer may go too far, use too much force or make a bad decision that may cause tragic consequences.

Yeah i partially agree with you that crime rates happens in the countries with corruption, ineffective governance and poor police control.Besides that i also do agree with you that use too much force or make a bad decision that may cause tragic consequences too but most of the time the police will investigate before they get down to their job.Thank You.
DeleteI am with you on that.A special branch should be formed to treat criminal cases. This can decrease the rate of crime.Well done!
ReplyDeleteWell Thank You very much.
DeleteAn article that speaks the current issue. Good job!. Talking about the steps to reduce the crime rate, I definitely agree with all your points. You said that more guns, less crime. but looking at our current situation, in my opinion i think criminals are more equipped with the latest type of gun compared to the police. So, does this mean our Royal Malaysian Customs not doing their job? What are the measures taken to control the smuggling rate?
