Penang Free Wifi

Penang has attracted many investors to invest and set up their business. Slowly Penang had become a well developed state. Tourist also will mostly travel to Penang because they can takes photo, shares about their impression of Penang and their feeling on the social network by using the free WiFi in Penang.

The Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng plan to run a project about internet access for all called ‘Penang Free WiFi’. In 2009, Penang Free WiFi project was launched at George Town in Penang by the Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng. The Government of Penang State was innovative on Wireless @ Penang. The aim of this Penang free WiFi project is to provide hassle-free broadband access to citizens and visitors through hundreds of wireless hotspots entire the island and Butterworth. This also provides the entire citizen in Penang with a more easy way to get information through the internet.

Launching in Komtar, Penang

This is also the only initiative in the country which free wireless internet is abroad available to everyone in all the public area. Examples of public area are entertainment hubs and business center. Next, this project is a large-scale statewide free WiFi network and this has always focused on delivering an advance quality for user. Again this Penang Free WiFi project makes Penang as one of the best destination for the tourist to choose. This is not only beneficially for the citizens, visitors and tourist but to the international business community.

In my opinion, this is a very good project and beneficial to all the citizens in Penang. The projects give a good impression to the entire citizens. To the citizens who are unaffordable also can use this free WiFi network. For the student, researchers, teachers and people who are doing business are easy to do research anywhere anytime as long as they are in Penang. The investors who invest at here and many tourists will purchase more because of the free WiFi make Penang to be stronger economically.

    I agreed what you telling. Hopefully this project can also run in whole Malaysia. Nowadays, most of the people using smartphone. One of the important part of smartphone is it can online when there is a wireless connection. Then all the telecommunication companies started to bring out the plan of wireless broadband. But the signal of the wireless will down in certain area and might not be strong enough for some business using or webpage searching. With this wifi plan, it might overcome this problem.

    I agreed with your articles, free WiFi will be easier for the public to get information when they need urgently when they are outstation in Penang area. It beneficial to the citizen, tourist and visitors.

    I agree with your article. Nowadays, we need the internet for almost everything and it will be very helpful if the internet can be accessed at anytime and any place. The government should really consider making Malaysia into a country which provides free wi-fi. Great job! :)

    I totally agree with your point of view. We as a student can be benefit as well. We can use free wifi anyway to do our course work easily.
