Topic: Ministry of Communication And Multimedia

As a ministry of communication and multimedia of this lovely country, Malaysia, I would like to use all of the resources and my power to fulfill the needs of residents in Malaysia. Multimedia such as movie, advertisement, radio and so on will bring us the bad influence if we are not using it correctly.

We are trying our best to banned the immoral values movie such as violence, sexual and racism. For example, ' The insidious ' in 2010 was totally banned in Malaysia. It is about a horrible ghost movie and did not bring any moral value to us.

The horror movie will bring us a lot of disadvantages such as anxiety, sleeplessness, fear, phobia, mental trauma and behavioral changes. Thus, those bad effects will totally decrease our efficiency no matter in work or studies.

By preventing the bad influence from those immoral values movie, I would like to suggest the cinemas to broadcast the valuable movie such as 'Forest Gump'. We can learn a lot of moral value from this movie like we must hardworking than normal people, we not only strive to be success but also to be of value, we must have a good mentor once in our life and so on.

In my opinion, the public should know the benefits and disadvantages of the movies. We should promote the importance of moral value of a movie. We hope that every movie in our beloved country can bring a lot of moral value to the public. We should invest more in the movies which bring advantages to the public. Afterwards, those directors have the motivation to create the attractive, morality and educated movies because of the fully supports of the government.

Besides, we can investigate those creativity and innovative directors and give them fully support. Therefore, our movies can become competitive with others foreign countries too.The quality of domestic movie can be better because we as a lynchip for them. We should promote to the public and support the local movies too. Therefore, our job can be done well and successfully.

  1. I have read your article and i am saying that i'm only partially agreeing with you in this topic. In my opinion movies like this should not be banned at all, instead it should be labelled as (18SG/18SX). As we all know movies are only to spend time and enjoy, personally i have come across over at least 20-30 different horror movies, but i have not felt the symptoms that you have mentioned in your article. In fact i even read horror novels. Viewing from a different perspective will give a different view to things. To be honest with you a horror movie is mainly about your brain's reactiveness towards paranormal science. Whether it is real or not that is a secondary question. The primary question is regarding your belief and spiritualness. How would you defend yourself against my claim when there are even a group of scientist inquiring and investigating the entities outside the understanding of humans. This cannot be considered immoral because it is just pure science.(Science dosn't go along with moral) and i clarify it simply like this. Scientist do not believe in ghost's(they believe there is a logical explanation towards everything on this earth and they are working day and night to prove themselves right. On the other hand we have priests (they believe everything is the work of god). And then there are you and i who can't accept nor reject completely eighter side of the story.Even in horror movies you have spirituality contained in it.For example(a girl is possessed by a demon and they try to exorcise the spirit out from her soul.Doesn't this prove to have moral value. The first value we learn in SPM MORAL. KEPERCAYAAN KEPADA TUHAN.Remamber I said i partially agree with you earlier that is for the other two examples which is (sexual) and (racial).Well in that special case i agree with you .Do testify what you have written :)

    1. yes Bro, i do agree with you to label those horror movie in (18SG/ 18SX). But then everything has their own disadvantages and advantage. You might very enjoy the process of the horror movies. As I mention that Insidious(Chapter1) banned. So, I just merely took it as my example and I do mention the disadvantage of horror movies. And so I never mention that we have to totally ban all of the horror movies. And thanks for your patient to read my articles and comment about it. ^^

  2. i totally agree with you mr.bhoji rao! :D well,i enjoy watching horror movies! and i've not felt any symptoms at all..Horror films are sure hits among film fanatics who seek excitement and thrills. Dripping blood on the kitchen floor, chopped bodies thrown into the river, men transforming into werewolves.. all these are scenes straight out of scary flicks. Watching such pictures is acceptable, but when often done, is said to have bearings on an individual’s psychological development. this is what ive read from a journal.

    1. Okay, I would like to say everyone has their own opinion about my topic. Bloody, chopped bodies thrown into the river like you mentioned, I would like to say not everyone can accept it. In your point of view is like very enjoyable but then I feel very horrible and violence. I never mention that we have to totally ban all of the horror movies and Insidious( chapter 1) was banned, it was a fact and i merely took it as a example for my topic. Thanks for your patient to read my article and your comments.

  4. I dont 100% agree with your article. i agree the part to band movie that has sexual and racism content. I disagree the idea to band ghost movie. Movies are mainly wast to entertain our self and time pass. The main motto of releasing a movie is to entertain the audience.

  6. I totally agree on your topic on banning immoral movies in Malaysia.I like the way you support your points especially when there is disagreements on one of your point that is banning horror movies.Well done.I would also like to suggest that the government should monitor and ensure the movie production industry in Malaysia must be limited in a way that it does not go beyond its quality or morality limit and more youngsters should be given oppurtunity to make good and quality-rich movies.
